yes and no, b/w with torque converter usually took in excess of 6 litres, fill to line, run engine, check while running, fill to line while running

check, but I think it is supposed to be engine running, in drive with handbrake applied, and fill to full mark
local workshop should be able to tell you, different boxes had different methods, they'll have a book to tell which is correct method for that box
