Lifespan of a "Turbo on a Mazda/Courier 2.5 diesel

Just curious as to what sort of mileage could an owner get from the Turbocharger on these engines. There's not much to go wrong, with these is there, but if the motor has been regularly serviced, would 300,000 K's be acceptable without rebuilding or replacement!. Interested in your comments. We have 2 Bounty 2.5TD utes for work, both are above 300,000kms. One of them has had the turbo replaced and to the best of my knowledge the other one is still the original turbo. I'm not sure as to why one turbo failed though, that happened before my time with this company.

We had a work ute (sold now), a 2000 Ford Courier 2.5 turbo diesel, same as Bounty. It had nearly 400 000 kms on the same turbo, and even then, had heaps of grunt.
