You can tip the top of the panel foward into the service position but its a false economy in my opinion. Its a MUCH nicer job to just swing the front right out of the way like you are supposed to. If you havn't done one before its probably going to be quicker/safer this way anyway. Not to mention a HEAP less frustraiting.
Its cambelt driven the pump so of course you want to do tensioners, cambelt and thermostat while you are in there.
Its a pleasant enough job to do on those but not a fast job. Just remember you won't have to do it again for 5 years!
