Hi there, we have recently been away for a weekend in a caravan and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We are now looking at potentially investing in one, but unsure as where to start. We don't want a huge one but one that can be easily moved by two people. A 2-3 berth one would be ideal, what sort of price would be be looking at a reasonable condition van! TIA

We have a 2 berth English caravan. Very easy to move as it has motor movers fitted and all I have to do is push the buttons on the remote. English caravans are lighter than NZ vans but not as solid. However we are very happy with ours. You will need a larger vehicle to tow. We use an old Pajero but theres lots of choice.

When investing in a caravan i would not suggest factoring in "one that can be easily moved by two people". Just use a car to move it. Bigger is better, upgrade towing vehicle if needed. I have a 12mtr bus. happy i did not get a 7mtr!
