I have seen a plate, say, AB 21( note the space between the letters and figures) but if go into the PP site to check if a plate is available it will not let me put a space in. What I mean is, say AB21 is taken, but i want AB (space)21! and help from the experts

AB21 and AB 21 is the same plate. Adding spaces doesn't change the actual plate.

Spaces mean nothing on a personalised plate. When you order the plate you can stipulate how it's spaced though, so if you bought "AB21" you could have either: "AB21", or "AB 21" or "A B21" or "A B 2 1" etc.

You can't have AB 21, its the same as AB21 and thus has already been issued like #2 said.You will have to find something else that takes your fancy if you still want to cough 900 odd dollars for what is a somewhat unnoticeable plate.
you should reserve it or buy it and resell as investment plate. i'm sure some equal representative with too much money will take it off your hands=P

yeah, that sums up nicely lots of ( total waste of money ) p.plates I've seen over the years !
