PUT NEW FUEL PUMP IN, STILL CRANKS OVER AND DOSNT START, PLUGS ARNT WET, BUT SPARK IS GOOD, NOT SURE WITH FUEL INJECTION IF PLUGS SHOULD SHOW FUEL! CAR WAS FINE TILL LEFT FOR TWO DAYS THEN BATTERY WAS FLAT, NEW BATTERY AND STILL NO START UP ! NO OBVIOUS REASON FOR FLAT BATTERY.

Obvious reason for 'flat' battery is it's got quite cold overnight lately.
Why did you put a new fuel pump in! Do you hear it prime when you first switch the ignition on!
Does the tacho move off the stop when cranking!

did you check if the fuelfilter is not blocked up by adding a new one and then check if fuel pressure is there on engine!

YES YOU HEAR IT PRIME WHEN IGNITION IS SWITCHED ON,. ONLY REASON FOR PUTTING A NEW FUEL PUMP IN IS THAT IT HAD SAME PROBLEM 6 MTHS AGO AND 2ND HAND PUMP FIXED PROBLEM, AND SUSPECTED THIS ONE ALSO NOW BUGGERED ! HAVNT CHECKED FUEL FILTER BUT WILL DO THAT RIGHT NOW. THANKS, WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW I GET ON, .

Nah, ours was silver!(Thank god for that!)But we had replaced the fuel pump, and from then on it was nothing but problems!Forever surging, and our mechanic at the time couldn't figure out what the problem was.
A bit embarrasing when pulling up at a stop light, it sounded like we were reving our engine in Boy Racer style!But it was just the damn engine, not the driver!We got pulled over once by a cop as he thought thats what we were doing, but he soon realised while we were sitting there when he was talking to us!
It was a 95 Fairmont V8.Maybe its a fault they all have!
