160,000 km too high for a 2005 Subaru Outback?

Hi all. Looking at this car in Brisbane. It has almost 160,000km on the clock, but is very reasonably priced and it seems to be in very good condition. Would you consider this car due to the mileage! It is the 3.0L 6 Cylinder version. Thanks

no, especially not in warmer weather with no cold engine starts. Those 3 litre Subaru engines appear to be a goody. Looking in the future for one too. Lancaster or Gt30.

One thing I've noticed is cars in Australia tend to cover a longer annual average distance, and that something with 200,000kms at 15+ years old is considered 'low kilometers'. I think 160,000kms is not too high at all, but I would perhaps look at moving it on when it reaches towards 250,000kms.

If its been well looked after it should be barely run in at 160,000 kms.

as long as the price reflects the kms then i dont see any problem

If I get the car there's a chance I'll do a Brisbane to Melbourne road trip, about 1,800km worth of driving. Surely the car will be up for the task right! Providing that it's well maintained. It's the thought of adding almost a whole 2,000km extra on top of this mileage.

this would be 3 weeks use for me.
the car doesnt care if you do 2000km in one hit, its actually the best way for it to do kms - hot

If its been looked after it will be fine especially if its done long distance running hot. Cold starts do the wear.
