With all the cars going to the scrappie

jmma, May 10, 10:32am
Whats going to be around in 20 or 30 years, for our kids or grandkids to restore, or turn into hotrods!

mk3crazy, May 10, 11:08am
What sort of engine would you put in that a singer sowing machine!

dylandylandylan, May 10, 11:13am
LOL nice

fordcrzy, May 10, 11:22am
if only there was a font for sarcasim.

jkm, May 10, 6:59pm
Of course in 20 years time it will be illegal to built or own a "hot rod". The fun police will see to that.

magicmat, May 10, 7:15pm
*Ouch* but lol.

magicmat, May 11, 7:41pm
Wow I never heard of them before. As expected, after a quick read up on these its obvious the combination of large tank of a car and tiny little rotary engine didn't appear to mix well. Bad acceleration, 100mph top speed and up to 26litres/100km fuel consumption!

Still if you were a collector this may be desirable. But what were they thinking really!!

elect70, May 12, 3:34am
^^ what were they thinking of. only an aussie could so stupid to put rotary inbig heavy family car, must be very collectable as few built

bellky, May 12, 3:38am
You know that Mazda gave Holden some rotary technology in return for the bodies. What to do with them! - Well put a rota in them of course.

bellky, May 12, 3:40am
I'm pretty sure Mazda Japan built them.

noswalg, May 12, 4:06am
but nobody will be able to afford it. It'll be worth at least $175000 by then or maybe in a museum with other great works of art!

gunna-1, May 12, 4:12am
Bah! yeee GAAA!ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!-
!.

pebbles61, May 13, 6:05am
Interesting article, only way to find out is to wait another 20-30 years lol. One day my kids might take my landcrab once I kick the bucket, if not, give it to someone who will love it

neville48, May 13, 7:28am
buy now and put it in the shed, your grand children will be wrapped, or buy now, wrap it in greasy plastic and bury it in the yard.lots of mystique and intrigue in 30 years time huh.

kenw1, May 13, 7:38am
Well I still have my Morris Minor that I built from a new body shell in 1973.

neville48, May 13, 7:44am
Bury that without the greaseproof.sorry mate, just slipped out hehe. ps; hurry and get another feedback [666]

kenw1, May 13, 8:02am

elect70, May 14, 1:57am
By then all gas guzzlerswill have been banned from roadsif cant do5 L /100 kmearos are already working towards that . ,

rsr72, May 14, 5:45am
Be more a case of restoring the electronics than the car in the future.

drew2009, May 15, 12:32am
There are way to many things that can go wrong in modern cars.
Can you imagine trying to rebuild a cvt auto transmission in 20 years time! bugger that for a joke.
The jappas have a use by date and after that its off to the scrappy

monaro_xxx, May 15, 12:36am
Sad.but true.

elect70, May 15, 1:36am
Now virtually everycar maker isbringing out or working on a hybrid& that includes Porsche & BMWPorsche plan on a hybrid Cayenebutdownsized & no off roadgear .Ferrariabout the only 1 that isnt .

paulap, May 15, 2:28am
Tis all OK, someone I know is hoarding enough cars for quite a few resto's overthe next 20/30 years.lol

Even though I am pushing for the crappy ones to go to the scrapyard.

woody1946, May 15, 2:45am
If only we could look a the future. Had a nice original Corolla with 35,000 ks on it about 8 years ago and got $600 for it at Turners, now the boyracers pay big bucks for those
