On holiday, and on the side of the road in Christchurch my 308 Commy has just lost all forward gears in the trimatic, reverse is fine, it has enough ATF, I'm guessing a broken band.Anyone able to help!

I have 1 still bolted up to a VL 308 sitting in my garage.I am in Ashburton. We drained the ATF before we pulled the motor and box out. The motor was a minta. I only drove the car 4km home then removed the running gear for my tonner. The trans seemed alright back then so I assume it would still be ok. I have no idea what its worth but I could deliver it to Chch for fuel costs. It would take a couple hours to get out and seperate as its right at the back of my garage buried under renovation crapand project tonner etc.Make an offer if you still need 1.
