rb_slider, Jul 14, 8:04am
what size are wheels!

carkitter, Jul 14, 8:08am
What size are the tyres!

msigg, Jul 14, 8:09am
34psi

carclan, Jul 15, 12:39am
Check in you owners manual or in the door shut

bellky, Jul 15, 12:46am
Mid 30s is always sweet. Good rule of thumb these days.

mrfxit, Jul 15, 4:26am
Totally agree . for the front(DANG it, did I partly agree with you or something)
30 rear/ 34 front a pretty safe bet for anything apart from ultra low profiles
After that it's "what model/ What loads/ What tyres"

mrfxit, Jul 15, 4:27am
Set for USA flat concrete roads, not for NZ roads

splinter67, Jul 15, 4:34am
How can that be USA dont have comodores

nzfatie, Jul 15, 6:30am
40psi for better fuel economy, lighter steering and longer tyre life!

mrfxit, Jul 15, 6:33am
Yea ok so it's a pedantic point, they are there but under different names & different body options.
it's where the parent manufacture & design work comes from along with a large amount of the cash.

splinter67, Jul 15, 6:40am
Yes they are in the USA exported from Australia and rebadged as Pontiacs they are also sent to the UK and called Vauxalls

skiff1, Jul 15, 7:20am
also for nil grip, nil braking and generally a short, exciting life ended by ploughing into something solid!

nzfatie, Jul 15, 7:27am
So you're an A Grade mechanic like me Megan!!

skiff1, Jul 15, 7:52am
No too smart for a grunt job like that

skiff1, Jul 15, 7:53am
Are mechanics the only people who know about tyres!

twink19, Jul 15, 7:54am
I run 40 in Falcon and get 60, / 70.000km out of a set of tyres

skiff1, Jul 15, 8:01am
you may do, but as sure as god made little green apples, you will give away grip for milage. Personally, I buy good tyres so I can stop and turn, so I run them at the manufacturers recs to let them do their work.

cyclic, Jul 15, 8:18am
120 psi for maximum grip

twink19, Jul 16, 2:18am
sorry to disagree, I did over 300,000k in my pajero, and about 50k in Falcon, mostly towing Puke, HD, Manfield never had any problem with handling, stopping etc, and the manufacures recomendations are to sell more tyres, in my opinion

johnf_456, Jul 16, 2:20am
:) Tyres are cheap insurance when you think about it, considering its the only thing holding you on the road.

splinter67, Jul 16, 2:21am
I like to watch you put 120psi into a tyre

johnf_456, Jul 16, 2:22am
Sounds like some cheap entertainment, where could we do it and have a drink up.

caffineaddicted, Jul 16, 2:27am
only want to run about 34/36psi

bellky, Jul 16, 2:31am
Sensible.
