Mid 30s is always sweet. Good rule of thumb these days.

Totally agree . for the front(DANG it, did I partly agree with you or something) 30 rear/ 34 front a pretty safe bet for anything apart from ultra low profiles After that it's "what model/ What loads/ What tyres"

Set for USA flat concrete roads, not for NZ roads

nzfatie,

40psi for better fuel economy, lighter steering and longer tyre life!

Yea ok so it's a pedantic point, they are there but under different names & different body options. it's where the parent manufacture & design work comes from along with a large amount of the cash.

Yes they are in the USA exported from Australia and rebadged as Pontiacs they are also sent to the UK and called Vauxalls

also for nil grip, nil braking and generally a short, exciting life ended by ploughing into something solid!

So you're an A Grade mechanic like me Megan!!

Are mechanics the only people who know about tyres!

I run 40 in Falcon and get 60, / 70.000km out of a set of tyres

you may do, but as sure as god made little green apples, you will give away grip for milage. Personally, I buy good tyres so I can stop and turn, so I run them at the manufacturers recs to let them do their work.

120 psi for maximum grip

sorry to disagree, I did over 300,000k in my pajero, and about 50k in Falcon, mostly towing Puke, HD, Manfield never had any problem with handling, stopping etc, and the manufacures recomendations are to sell more tyres, in my opinion

:) Tyres are cheap insurance when you think about it, considering its the only thing holding you on the road.
splinter67,
Jul 15, 9:21pm
I like to watch you put 120psi into a tyre
johnf_456,
Jul 15, 9:22pm
Sounds like some cheap entertainment, where could we do it and have a drink up.
caffineaddicted,
Jul 15, 9:27pm
