After a ten year rebuild he is gutted
There is a reward on offer for the return or location. Possible siting Kiakohe area but could be anywhere.

I presume it is in lotus whte with green flash.

bill-robinson, Jul 1, 12:49am
Yes, Thanks I forgot to put that in the original message

newtec1, Jul 1, 2:37am
I bet he is gutted.I owned one of those in the early 70s,mk 166'.I remember i couldn't sell it as they were only another car at the time.I did sell it for $2700 ,but wished i had kept it,now worth $60.000 in mint cond. The problem is they will probably take it for a joyride and trash it ,not knowing what it is,scumbags, lowlifes.I hope he finds it in one piece, they are real collector items now.

lookoutas, Jul 1, 2:45am
What else did you expect! It's the colour they have to be.

Scumbags need hanging!

brokebloke1, Jul 1, 4:29am
no they dont! there was one in Sydney geni lotus was painted british racing green with a gold flash ( looked better than cream and green)

tgray, Jul 1, 4:36am
Good luck in getting it back.
Wish I still had my 1968 GT MK2, I sold for $1600 30 years ago, but not in the same league I know.

the-lada-dude, Jul 1, 5:21am
$ 60,000 would be a minimum price !
to be honest, if i owned something like that it would be under lock and key and i be buggered if i took it any where except to special events. and i'd make sure it had cunning immobilizers and one of those gps thingies !
jez bill that's bloody bad luck mate i hope they get the fb
yeah, and i wish i'd kept my s4lotus super seven, darn it

twink19, Jul 1, 8:39pm
mongerels, probably stripped by now

richardmayes, Jul 1, 9:42pm
I have to wonder why you've put a laughing devil face next to this.!

poppajn, Jul 1, 10:14pm
The gold flash would have been repainted

pge, Jul 1, 10:15pm
Do a flyover of the Hokianga area.

Maybe also the Kaitaia area.

It's probably being used a a paddock-basher in the areas.

Good luck to the owner -- I hope karma comes back to take the thief's genitals.

Red and gold Alan Mann

twink19, Jul 2, 8:24pm
have heard there was a late model black Holden or Falcon ute seen at the same time with it

motorboy2011, Jul 2, 8:33pm
and to think a gps tracker off trademe only costs $150.

tgray, Jul 2, 8:44pm
Probably in a shipping crate marked 'tomatoes' by now, heading to the middle east.

lookoutas, Jul 4, 9:41am
What I meant was 'it's the best colour for them'

poppajn, Jul 4, 10:51am
According to the factory registrar, it,s the only colour they came out in.
Anything else is a respray.

movnon, Jul 4, 11:21am
doubt if the color makes them go faster or slower lol.

lookoutas, Jul 5, 6:45am
That's what I thought - but wasn't 100% sure.
Would not have been game enough to argue against Brit Racing Green tho.

bryshaw, Jul 5, 8:13pm
Sad, but those types of vehicles should never be left unattended. It was probably just the pretty colours the thieves were attracted by.

lookoutas, Jul 6, 9:45pm
You can't put them in cotton-wool either.

newtec1, Jul 6, 10:06pm
No you can't but you can take all the precautions available to stop these scumbags. You can still see some of them racing on the track, not that i would put a classic like that in danger of being munted, but some do.

elect70, Jul 7, 3:29am
Why notpanels same as any 2 d oor cortina .

extrayda, Jul 7, 4:43am
I keep checking here hoping to see that it's been found undamaged.
Surely can't be an easy car to on-sell without anyone noticing!
