hav a 91 300zx with around 280,000 ks which oil should i use and how much! help would be much appreciated and any other info would be good if any1 can help me as ive just got it 2day. its 5spd aswell.

At that age and K's I would use 10/40 or 15/40
Use reputable brands, don't be tempted to use the el cheapo rubbish from the likes of the warewhare as it is quite probably recycled rubbish !

I put 15w40 in mine.
They took 10w30 from factory but as you say with age etc I run 15/40. I just use the Castrol Magnatec we use at work as it doesn't cost me anything, but be sure to use a reputable brand, and not a full synthetic either, Semi Synthetic is what you're after and is what most oils are anyway.

About 4.2-4.5L depending on which filter you use, there is two listed for these (In our catalogue anyway), one is a shorter one and one is the longer one, obviously the longer one holds a bit more. But 4L is a good start and top up from there.
