Always wanted to know the hierarchy of both Ford and Holden vehicles, never been able to get my head around the VX, VY and so forth models. Anyone that can provide a link or inform me! Cheers.
Sorry for those of you who thought this was a Ford versus Holden page :P
its funny how all the models sort of only last 2-3 years but the ve is 6 years and still current.Maybe still recovering production costs

Aussie car companies, just don't make enough cars to fund a decent R&D dept, so the cars are always going to be a lil' under done. It's probably cheaper to fix things that go wrong as they pop up and pay for the odd recall. Let alone face lifts every year like the old days, lucky to get a new model every 10 years. These will probably be the last stand alone Aussie cars, they will have to find a common platform within their parent companies. Looks like this could be the last RWD Falcon, unless they can do something with the Mustang platform, like make it bigger and Holden will try and do something with the next Camaro/Caddilac platform, even though presently the Camaro uses the Holden platform. It's going to be an interesting next 10-15 years.
