if you allow your self to be a door mat, who's fault is that! Couldnt possibly be your own now could it!
shelleigh,

Then why did you not just say no when they asked you! There is no need to give a reason or explanation when it's your vehicle.

Then hand your notice in and ask your previous for your old job back. If old job appreciated you they will take you back. Otherwise, tell them you wont be using your car for work use unless they compensate for every expense:- tyres when due, wofs, regos, insurance, oil changes, services, etc. Once all that has been added up (check how much each is every 6mnths) then hand over to your boss. Then he will see its cheaper to just get you a lease car for work.

Lease cars usually include the cost of maintenance, you just take it to the dealer every time they say its due. WOFs & Regos are usually excluded. And then they just give you a fuel card for work use only.

Hey Fishy - unfortunately there are people who won't say no. But I sure wouldn't have any problem saying no to using my own vehicle for work esepecially when told a work vehicle was going to be bought for my use!

Buy yourself a new SR5. The repayment costs are part of what you pass on to your employer.
If you do end up using your own vehicle, make sure you allow for depreciation.
Or look into a novated lease. It's a new word I learnt 3 days ago that could apply to this situation.

I would be more than happy to use my vehicle for work use. as long as work were covering all repairs, wear and tear, petrol, maintanence, tyres, insurance, rego and wof etc, etc etc etc. .Then I couldnt see it being a problem in the slightest. . :-)

You need to talk to an employment specialist.
Sounds like you should be saying "which breach of my employment agreement would you like to discuss first"
