Hi I have a 92 L300 4WD 2.4L petrol 4G64 8V EFI. I must have the wrong dip stick in this or something as the full mark is so far off what seems at all reasonable. What is the capacity of the sump with oil filter! Thanks.

about 4L. That model should have an oil level sensor in the sump.

I just had a look on auto data and it says 3.8 for 2wd, and 4.8 for 4wd.
On another note, Phil, youll be happy to hear that im now working for the local mitsi garage.

Yes it has a low oil level warning. The engine was replaced at one stage but with one originally from an L200.I have been putting 4L in for an oil change and it seems OK but its miles off the full mark on the dip stick.
