Cool cars that you could actually afford

sw20, Aug 21, 5:30am
but don't actually need.

A couple on my list.

Saab 900 turbo Aero, the Swedish made version, in manual of course and the first Jaguar XJR. The straight six supercharged. I just think they are really cool.

My usual sports cars : Nissan 350Z Track Edition, Toyota Supercharged 2ZZFE Celica, Lotus Elise, Honda S2000

An Austin Princess would be up there for a second classic, I'd love the Wolseley 18-22 version though. Also on the list is, MGB GT, Mini, 1100/1300, Austin/Morris 1800, Metro, Maxi or an All-aggro.

Me too, I considered buying one in Germany. Fortunately I didn't, wouldn't have fitted in my car park in new flat.

thejazzpianoma, Aug 21, 6:35am
Sadly. no more room in the driveway or garage.

trogedon, Aug 21, 8:00am
Me neither. I had to make another little 'parking' spot. I think Matchbox cars are the way ahead. Never rust and ecologically 'clean' (apart from the dust collecting on them).

johnf_456, Aug 21, 8:08am
Same here other half already dislikes a dismantled Camaro taking up 2 parking space with parts.

johnf_456, Aug 21, 8:09am
Cheap as well and you can say you own this car. LOL Scaling don't matter haha.

robotnik, Aug 21, 8:21am
Alfa 156 with the older twin spark engine. Such great cars.

trade4us2, Aug 21, 8:24am
I've not seen one of those on the road for a long time. Did they have some problems!

pebbles61, Aug 21, 8:26am
I've seen A Morris and Austin come up for sale, but off the road. They weren't wrecks though. Most of the landcrabs you see for sale are the Wolseleys ones, which is great and all, but I already own one lol

fiatracer, Aug 21, 8:32am
MMmmm. Former is on my list, and one of few Euro makes I havent owned. A good classic 900 Aero still appeals. Tried an XJR, was disappointed with the specific example, but love my 4.0 Sovereign, my 2nd X300.

pebbles61, Aug 21, 8:41am
True, but I wouldn't bother with an auto ADO16 myself, I only tend to hear bad things about them.

00quattro00, Aug 21, 9:03am
Audi ur quattro, lancia delta intergrale, mk1 golf gti, bmw 850, merc 190e cosworth, e34 m5

Chrysler 300C 6.1 Gangsta

Your kidding those things were junk new some of us remember those shitboxes and the reason horrible little Jap cars became popular.

hopie, Aug 22, 12:44am
r34 gtr spec II Nur edition. But the house will have to go.

stevexc, Aug 22, 4:59am
BMW 850i, especially the super expensive one on trademe at the moment.

Ford Falcon XR8 ED Sprint (not one of the high mileage ones on trademe at the moment).

bastardsquad, Aug 22, 7:19am
84 celica supra, 240z, repowered mk1 cortina,R32 GTR

Why would you want the track version of the Z with low spec interior! 2003 Touring spec we have with full leather and better factory stereo has same power output(214kw) is better. I reckon the brembo's as an extra are overrated.unless you're doing targa/track work in one - worthless on the road, which is where 99% of driving would be done.
