what would work to get rid of an oilstain on a tarseal drive! some of it has been there a while. i had a look at some degreaser, but it said not to use on bitumen (thats kinda the same as tarseal aint it!)
any ideas! TIA :-)

Use a detergent, not a solvent. Some use dish washing liquid or washing powder and scrub hard.

Coca Cola removes oil stains. Incredibly, some people drink it as well.

Yep, washing powder good, scrub it in well with some hot water, do that a few times. When dry, get some of that chicken grit they use in workshops - can't remember the name - and put a pile over the stain. Grind it in with your foot and cover up against the rain. Wait a couple of days and as if by magic the stain has (almost) gone. Have done this many times back in Pomland whilst living with parents and driving a Vauxhall Victor. Believe me, you soon learn the skill

plaster of paris mixed with a litttle detergent and water,make a pattie and plonk it on top and let it cure

The acid in my stomach is a little harsher than coke so that takes care of that problem
