Hey Ive got a electric window issue. 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer drivers window. Sometimes it goes up about 2 inches then stops and goes back down. Then the switch dosnt work for about 5 seconds. Then you can try again and sometime sit will do the same and sometimes it will work normally. This is when you put it in auto mode to go up fully by itself. Anyone struck this and any ideas of fault!

Try lubing the tracks that the glass runs in to decrease resistance, many of them have a safety factor built into them in the event that a childs hand, head or whatever is preventing the window from closing so it releases and winds back down and the increased resistance from dry tracks could be being detected as an object.
