Ok knowledgable folk of the TMMB, give your tyre opinions.

Car is RWD, 300 HP, approx 1350 KG
Current sizes 225/45R17 (F) & 245/45R17. (R) at present.

Need a mid range tyre, NOT CHINESE!

Falken FK452 may be an option.

What other suggestions do you have and where is the best place to buy your choice!

Firestone TZ100 best for kiwi roads, put 40 000km on mine still got 4mm tread left.

People seem to think recommending tyres by brand is useful.

Toyo make some crap tyres, and they make some great tyres. Dunlop, Falken, Bridgestone and the rest, the same again.

Toyo T1R or Proxes4.

Dunlop Direzza's or SP3000's also very good. Otherwise Goodyear Eagle F1's if your budget extends that far.

That doesnt mean they are a good tyre, probably the opposite

I got some kuhmo zetum for $125 a tyre. Of tyrewholesalers.co.nz or similar

They were 235/45 17 and the tyre guys that put them on said they were a very good mid range tyre and very good value

They are bottom ones. They were on special when I bought them. Running them on an au falcon wagon. Great wet grip when towing my cherry picker and just driving hard in general.

Yeah I rate them as garbage. Only did 20,000kms on my station wagon too.

Edit: Also doubt they come in anything close to the size OP needs
