Legacy 1991 wagon hasall forward gears (drives in neutral)but wont do reverse also brakes are hard as. Any help would be great.

You lost a vacuum hose there somwhere bro, chech out all your hoses and what do you mean by (drives in neutral)

Sound like the inhibitor switch needs adjusting.

Yes car had a new cv this week bt trans was playing up b4 that.Will check the hoses& inhibitor switch now car is back from mechanic.Free for me to do it. It now only goes in 1st & 3rd

Sounds like the cable between the selector lever and the gearbox needs adjusting. It wont be a vacuum hose in relation to the gearbox, they are fully electronically controlled. Also check the gearbox oil level, those auto gearboxes have 2 dipsticks. 1 for the main gearbox and the other for the front diff.
