http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/23/Subaru_EJ20TT.jpg is that it! cap is on left follow hose from radiator to bowl its on the engine a bowl never open when hot. left side has 3 yellow plugs the one in the middle on engine is the coolant. You should not mess with it if you got no clue plus coolant should be exchanged every 24 month

Driver side, up-centre from intake. its a silver top tank, two small hoses run into it. will stick out like dogs nuts once you see it
