We want to pull up the carpet (will do this ourselves) and get vinyl put down in our caravan here in christchurch. Has anyone done this recently and can recommend someone for this small job! We are in Papanui/Redwood.

Any vinyl layer will do it.
A caravan is no different to a kitchen or laundry. Should be easier in reality.
The more cleaning and (if needed) scraping and sanding of the floor you do yourselves, will help save you money.
