is there a formula/equation for working out how much oil to stick in for doing a oil change with a filter

dipstick. then run i fo a while to let the oil go through the fietr and top u agan.

4.7 litres capacity dry engine
Extra 230mls for oil filter

Keep in mind there will be some oil leftover the engine wont be completely dry so put 4 litres in first and work your way up in 100-200ml increments from there.

Heres a diagram but its all in american units.

LOL my thoughts exactly. Only oil filter i have ever seen that big was a huge hydraulic filter on a truck.

It goes fill on the dipstick, so you put more in to it goes fill again and check, if it goes to fill again, put some more in.
Must get me one of those dipsticks, what are they called! Let me guess.
