Soo Driving at slow speed changed gears and rpm dropped and turned off. Tried to start again but just got solenoid engaging and not cranking. Then tried push starting several times with nothing just the motor jolting and not turning.
So far ive tried to rotate the motor by hand - wont turn stiff as fuck! not even with a rattle run. had front wheels off the ground had it in gear 5 and rotated the wheels just to find they spin freely but the motor still jammed.
Motor has good oil and coolant and was not subject to overheating etc at the time.
Seems to me like a twisted flywheel or something!

clutch feels 100% normal and have had rocker cover off - all is in tact and golden

The engine will be a DOHC, the camshafts are connected together with a chain (one cam is belt driven which also drives the other cam via a chain). As above, pull the rocker cover off and examine the chain and valves and shit.

Tried turning it BACKWARDS! If it has dropped a belt and valves are hitting it will turn backwards a bit-but won't go forward.

Tried turning it both ways backwards and forwards from cam pulley and bottom pulley. Nothing - just stiff as it gets. Will investigate that chain as it may be the cause. any other things to look at!

IMO youll find the pistons wont move up or down but the cams will turn, ive had a car sieze on me with good amount of oil/water. hence the rpm drop, as the engine became jamned up

siezed engine or broken cam belt, most likely cam belt. the teeth at the crank pulley will be stripped.
either way, its goosed.
