The spark plug cap on my ride on mower keeps popping off by itself and its a good tight fit
It has done it 3 times, now there is no power at all and it wont start.
I found a fuse but its still ok.
Lights wont work and it wont even turn over on key.

its firm to pop on and off by hand so its not just falling off by vibration ect.

It's not tight enough.

Ed: if it keeps doing it, replace plug and lead.

The problem now is the engine wont start or even wind over!
There is plenty of slack on the lead so its not being pulled off and it not loose enuf to fall off. All power has been lost

Yea follow all your wires, sounds like its vibrating so much that something else has failed.

use your noggin & do some basic elimination tricks, check battery connections, check starter motor & solenoid connections, Take a jumper lead from the+ve battery (red) to starter motor + ve if motor turns over then you have a solenoid problem, check fuses and coil connections to solenoid.
