Well this is true- there are crazy people out there. I towed with diesel 4WDs for about 12 years leading to 2008 when I bout the Holden. Although the Holden isn't as sure footed as the 4WDs it has got 'enough' power and considering I tow around 6-8 times a year it doesn't worry me as much because it is a better town and highway vehicle.

Yeah - the alternative (which we have) is a "car collection", 4WD for towing, a munted old dray for around town, and a sports car because the other two are not very nice to drive.The only thing suggested on these forums which will do all jobs effortlessly is a Fiat Multipla.

I have both v6-v8 cars and tow horses on both, Napier-Taupo roads, the v8 uses more gas than the v6 both laden and unladen. Yeah the v8 feels more stronger but who cares, they both do ok.
