Small car advice

I've got about $10000 to spend on a small car. What car in your experience has been good for you.It will be used mainly for in and out of town driving on motorways ,mainly 2 people, will need reasonable storage space and have a bit of style.

Some of the four door hatchback types would suit your needs.
Something up to 2litreswill give good economy if driven conservatively, but still do well on the motorway etc. Mazda 2 comes to mind, or one of its competitors from Toyota and Nissan. If you want more style, look at an Alfa Romeo 147, but they may be a bit of an enthusiasts car .

soundie -given your location and what the daily grind type motorway traffic is like I'd say the world really is your oyster.
10k is bang in the "sweet spot" for 04-06 low km vehicles.
My current favorite is the Mazda Verissa which is kinda a mazda 2 with attitude.
Heck theres plenty to choose from.
Mazda demio, toyota vitz, toyota raum,Toyota ractis almost gets in there,Micra but the 1400cc one,Heck or a bit funky is the cube,BB
