Toyota Warning light on dash help please

kazgirl, Dec 10, 6:17am
I have a warning light on my dash that I am not sure what it is for. I have a 1996 Toyota Vista and the light looks a bit like a muffler with heat waves coming off it. Does anyone please know what this could be for! I have googled but can't find it. Car is an import and I have manual but can't find the symbol in there even if I was able to read japanese lol. TIA

it's telling you the catalytic is getting too hot. is the light on all the time or does it only come on after the motor's running!

Either blocked or a stuffed sensor.
Most likely blocked.
Easiest fix is getting an exhaust shop to cut it out and replace with plain pipe or a resonator.

If you get the cat removed, tell the exhaust shop you want it.
Worth decent money as scrap

Just check you didnt accidently knock the wre loose from the sensor while replacing the starter
