What size is the thread for oil

Sump bung on a vx 2001 commodore! I am not having much luck finding one. The head of it is a 19mm but what thread size do I ask for to buy one! Would be awesome if anyone can help thanks

Pull it out and measure it!

Measure the thread. It's probably 14mm X 1.5mm pitch.
Put a ruler on it. Count 8 threads and that should be 12mm.

i cant get it out at mo to measure it, as its been rounded off as was done up far too tight so am thinking drastic measures to get it off but dont wanna take it out yet as live rural so cant get another sump plug to put back in straight away which is why i need to know what to buy first so its on hand at the time

Well it's probably Metric Fine 14mm 1.5mm pitch.
You'd think everyone would be discussing the size on the Net, after all the complaints about rounded heads. I don't see why an ordinary bolt won't fit there instead of the standard part that has a head that's too narrow.

i brought a new one from Holden dealer can't remember cost but wasn't over the top,small stilsons sometimes will get damaged one out
