BMW 328i mechanic Tauranga/Papamoa area.

My sons bmw has died in Papamoa, AA have said they will transport it anywhere in the Tauranga area. Where should they take it where it will get repaired at a reasonable rate. It's a 1996 328i, the AA call out guy suggested it was fuel or that old chestnut (the computer) so really could be anything. It started, ran briefly then shuddered to a halt. Not to start again, despite the AA's efforts.
He has gone back to Palmy Nth in my old Estima camper, bit of a culture shock for him lol. Now wants to know where it can be taken so he can ride in it again without being taken for a ride.

yeah I used to work around the corner from Shersons and we used to take work vehicles there when we couldnt do them at out depot due to lack of equipment. That was 2009 so dont know about now but were good then

Also remembered here as bob1120. Well known for his knowledge with Beemers

Yup, Shersons
Being a 328, it's either fuel pump or crank angle sensor.
Both cheap enough to find and fix
