I failed warrant for tyres 2day on the car I have 205/55 R16, I was wondering because I have a brand new set at home but only 2 are 205/55 r16 and the other 2 are 225/50 R16 can these be fitted to back and others to front! If that makes sense

Yes. as long as they on the same axle so to speak i.e. two the same on the front

205 or 225 is the width of ya tyre. 50 or 55 is the depth of tyre, (rim to tread) so ideally ud hav the wider tyres on the back, but at the same time the deeper tyres on the back too. so if ya go deeper tyres on the back, and wider on the front it may look a lil odd.
did ya car fail on all four tyres!

sorry yes, that too

50 or 55 is the aspect ration.not a measurement in mm :)

As long as the car is not all wheel drive, your be find having 205/55 on the front and 225/50 on the rear.

Would always want the best tyres on the front but it won't matter since you got 2 size tyres to put on. As you want the wider tyres on the rear

If you got to replace one, Replace the whole four since you have already have the tyres
