You're slightly confused there. The Tiida has no connection to the Logan.

yeah it does, nissan renault are the same company.

Yep and now Lada is part of the mix as well. How long before China or India buy the lot!

No Nissan and Renault have an alliance. Renault owns 43% of Nissan, and Nissan owns 15% of Renault. While there are quite a few cars that cross into both Nissan and Renault branding, the Tiida is not one of them. It is a totally Nissan product, albeit that it shares some mechanicals with Renault. The Logan, on the other hand, is actually a Dacia Logan, Romanian built and owned by Renault. Yes, a cheaply built economy car, no direct connection with Nissan, but sold in some markets as the Nissan Aprio. Not sure if any of them made it to the NZ market.

This makes interesting reading.Look at the production numbers.Got to ask why this type of thing in not available in this country rather than zillions of 2nd hand junk from Japan. This way we could have brand new junk (lol).

Yes, I've had the displeasure of riding in these Logan cars in India. Quite pleased you can't get them here. Second hand junk from Japan is still way better.
