hemroids, Feb 25, 9:45am
of the sound of a rotary engine screaming in their earsat full noise!

morrisman1, Feb 25, 9:51am
I wouldn't be able to sleep with that horrible racket

desertcolt07, Feb 25, 10:08am
.
Gimmie a howling ferrari v8 any day

chook90, Feb 25, 10:29am
Oddly the howl of a straight six has always done it for me.

johnf_456, Feb 25, 10:31am
I would rather hear a tractor than a rotary at full noise.

xpfairmont, Feb 25, 10:34am
sounds like a bad dream

trade4us2, Feb 25, 10:48am
My car doesn't make any noise except for the ticking of the clock.

kazbanz, Feb 25, 10:56am
funnilly enough I still have the ringing in my ears from too many years racing screaming two strokes.

xpfairmont, Feb 25, 11:30am
you'd better fix it then

floscey, Feb 25, 6:57pm
is that when you toss and turn then go to sleep , do you also pull yourself out of bed.

mrfxit, Feb 25, 7:08pm

mrfxit, Feb 25, 7:09pm

+1 for a crisp sounding multiple carburetted six!

gjmman, Feb 26, 12:01am
I can remember long hot Hawkes Bay Summers as a child, falling asleepwith the sound of the irrigator pump chugging in the back ground.

Still find that sound of a chugging diesel reassuring, andif it was actually running Dad would be a happy farmer.

rednsr, Feb 26, 3:56am
I dream of your mother, then wake up stuck fast to my bed

As a kid I would lie in bed listening to the steam trains climbing the incline. The steady chug-chug-chug occasionally broken by a bit of wheel spin on an icy track. Now thats a sound you don't hear anymore

fordkiwi27, Feb 26, 4:22am
sounds like a weedeater. sounds like something crapped out in the end 2

tribal69, Feb 26, 4:27am

mrfxit, Feb 26, 5:08am

chevcamaro, Feb 26, 7:03am
yes was out on saturday am when we passed the crossing on portage rd where i spotted a couple of oldies with cameras, made my daughter pull over jumped out in time to see a steamer pass threw what a smell , now thats power, steam power bueatifull

gunhand, Feb 26, 7:13am
Your correct there, old traction engines have more pulling power than flash new tractors. Possably not as comfortable to spend a day on tho.

purple666, Feb 26, 8:00am
A hard working Jag sure does it for me, long incline up to my place, at night, window down while slowly stretching its legs up to that mighty ton, ahhh I am spent.

woody1946, Feb 26, 8:11am
Agree with you there, but then I am biased---see my profile pic
