My tank used to take 33Ltrs to fill from empty. Today i filled it to 39. Anyone else get this! Yup sure I expect extra$$ but litrage!

I immediately wonder about the calibration of the fuel pump. Go back and see if it has a valid cert.

How do you know it was actually "empty"! Did you run out of fuel and push your car all the way to the petrol station! And in my experience, no car has a 33 litre tank, unless it's some micro car.

Theres generally 10 litres difference from the "E" or fuel light coming on and actually running out of fuel.

You probably used more of the 'reserve' petrol in the tank before filling it up again.

The only way you could easily expand a fuel tank is to drop a match into it.
