From the Herald
Emergency services were called to the Auckland Airport this morning after a plane carrying 286 passengers blew a gear.

It did what!

A landing gear.

The lady that owns the local bakery thinks that the jumbo jets park in the sky. As in stationary. Reckons shes seen it and nothing you say can change her mind. Funny and frustrating all at the same time.

Get your own back. If she thinks metal objects can disregard the laws of physics, buy some pies with invisible coins. When she asks what's going on, tell her they are presently out of phase with her reality, but will re-enter our space time continuum as soon as the plane lands

yea, it blew third gear. Too much boost and stripped the teeth. Not a big issue but it means it can be harder to climb some hills. Common problem with the Boeing 777. They should't have used VW gearboxes
