92 camry overheating.

Using litre water a day.whether thats in steam or splatter, evaporation im not sure.water boils in reserve tank due to pressure.cap holds pressure.thermostatt ok.Could it be that my fans arnt working, not drawincold air thru radiator.Have been told by mechanic its the head gasket. But no visible signs in emissions. When starting temp gauge seems to come up to normal to quickly. Then starts to climb up.By coasting downhills to lessen engine load I can get temp to drop a wee bit. This indicates a fan problem does it not.Any helpful advice greatly apprteciated.

water is circulating whole of radiator so seems to be no blockage.

So have you noticed the fans turning on and off! If they are then the head gasket or head would have to be suspect, get it teekay checked to confirm.

when its cold take the radiator cap off and check the amount of little bubbles coming to the top of the radiator until the water starts getting hot and coming over the top turn it off then and put the cap on and check the same thing with another car counting bubbles to see if its the head gasket. more bubbles could mean head gasket.
