If a car is automatic on the ownership papers but the car has had a manual put into it how do you change the ownership papers?
TIA

You can't, and they no longer have ownership papers as such.

So nothing can be done to get it changed. shows on carjam too.

I'm guessing it shows on the rego label?

budgel, Apr 28, 8:52am
I wouldnt worry about it as long as there are no problems at WOF time.

Sweet thanks. Just passed a wof so must be ok lol

clark20, Apr 28, 9:21am
I just did 60km/hr on a 50 km/hr road so it must be OK, same theory.

As you didn't die the instant you hit 54kph it must be ok and the limit is obviously wrong.

Do nothing, you'll only open a can of worms if you try to change it.

Probably very true as you may need to get the conversion certified and on and on it will go.

I sold a 6 cylinder Mustang once (I know, but it was well over 25 years ago), and the new owner put a V8 in it and after all this time, it still comes up at a 4.1 litre six on Carjam.

If the PTB find out its been changed from auto to manual they will probably want a full compliance check done for WOF . Just leave it .
