Beetle-have a look "under the skirts" so to speak of the mark X --By that I mean have a look at what engine/drive train etc it uses and you will find that it shares so much componentry with more commonly known vehicles that its not something to concern yourself with.

Kazbanz, I think Andy was making a bit of a lame joke at my expense rather than a serious moral judgement on car dealers in general (hope so anyway). As I said before, we are seriously impressed with the young salesman we have been having dealings with and are confident that both he and the business he works for operate with honesty and integrity. He also seems to have a lot of knowledge on his subject and a real enthusiasm for the job. Bit like guys like you who give up their time to share their expertise with the slightly bewildered (like me) on this message board. Thank you.
