Looks like something my elderly father would buy. I see they are bringing out a Mercedes double cab 4x4 ute. It is based on the new Nissan navara. A quick search on Google will give you pics of it. It will be interesting who would buy it?

The G is the offroader.
M class was always more of an onroad vehicle and fairly small, GL was the bigger softroader

From now on it's all going to change. No more ML's, they will be called GLA, GLC, GLE and GLS. Each SUV model with the last letter indicating the chassis on which it was built. BTW, back to the new GLC which is launching in November, apparently the diesel model will have a two stage particulate filter system (complies with the new European 6 regulations) meaning it can easily cope with constant city short runs which I believe was supposed to be a problem with SUV diesel engines previously.
