It may well be an external spin on type similar to the engine, some Mitsis of the era had them. The online Ryco catalogue will tell you that.

Yer. have the exact same car. the filter is a spin on. just go to your Mitsa dealer for one. you'll pay through the nose, but it's better than dealing with the dick heads at Repco. but if you really want the number,I'll get the torch and have a look for you.
