My 2L petrol 406 has just started simultaneous flashing of the Sport and Snow indicators on the fascia.The gearbox has not gone into emergency mode ie. has normal shift pattern. Anyone got any sane suggestions on this!

Just had a look at my handbook and all it says is"a warning light continuously lit is an indication of a malfunction in the relevant unit" , so flashing I'm not sure about---- Sorry

Hi Woody. My friend google has told me that both lights flashing is an indication that the ATF haspassed it's use by date so I'll change that pronto and disconnect then reconnect the batt to reset the sensor.

The flashing snow and sport light means the trans ecu has picked up a fault. Most common fault is a pressure regulation fault requiring electro valves being replaced on valve body. Take it to a workshop and get them to scan the ecu and go from there.
