I've driven all of the "new" common rail diesel in manual versions and find them all hard work with the no power below 1000 rpm and narrow power band. Give me an auto any day. If it must be manual, let it be a 4 litre HIlux, and to hell with the fuel cost. Only driven the 4 litre HIlux in auto, don't even know if the new one will available in 4 litre manual.

There is too little demand for them. Petrol simply isn't favoured in that market any more.
