Is the price of cars higher in summer because people are buying cars to go for holidays? So best time to buy cars would be at the end of summer or possibly in winter?

I don't know about cars but straight after Xmas is the best time to buy a used caravan. If people have been away and had awful weather they often feel they will never go away again so try and get rid of the caravan ASAP.

Only thing I know about is price of older vans with makeshift beds in back. They come down come Autumn! Backpacker campers or snails. Seen some cheap backpackers car like corollas going cheap as well in golden bay and here in Nelson. Usually outside backpackers and they are heading home. Don't think this effects main market though.
