buy a low power tv or a 12 volt one converting power is always coupled with huge power losses. i dont works well , also if you do buy a inverter that is the things name buy one with true sine wave and a true sinwave 850 watt one would set you back 2 grand and a huge bank of batterys to about 600 watt for a few h. Dont know how mutch things have inproofed but the power losses from converting energy wont have gone by a magig wand.
like here is how it goes 12 volt dc transformed to 240 ac and then back down to 19v dc inside a tv or what ever it operates with other dc voltages . so at leas 3 times power losses from conversions as there will be little if you buy TV that operates with 12 volt imput.

also no one runs a jug on 240 on a inverter they arer 1200 watt usually and a 850 watt inverter will struggle to have continues 600 watt outputs and a car battery will not start a vehicle after you boiled 4 cups of water with a mains power jug would you have a 2000 watt inverter. its why you have generator sets for that or mains power feeds for camp grounds. I have a gas cooker and a gas heater in my camper and a extension cord to plug in to camp grounds power thats all for cooking boil water with gas cettle and a 12 volt portable tv black and white that is obsolete now as the analog tv is turned off. sat dish 12 volt system you can buy for about 80$ on here from mike in northland . that is the way to go Post what you want to do and we can post a solution.

What you are asking requires a little more information. Are you wanting a simply system where you plug in at a camping ground or to be totally self contained system?

They need a caravan type socket & cable & RCD in side not cheap $ 850$ wont even get you a light & 1 power point
There is NO cheap way to do what you want to do. Just a heads up. when you run 230/240 v into a building you likely will need to have any work done certified -ie it will then need an electrical WOF

yup go to mega 10 buy camping lead a baton holder for a light and two power points get pdl bit more than other brands there but less sparky has to do ! cost be like $150 then on tm you will pick up switch box and exterior plug less than $100 . make hole and a fix plug urself and screw up switch box in to place . ring up sparky to come and wire up shouldn't take more than two hours !
