I got a Subaru today and three hours later it just stopped working it turns on goes in reverse but wnt go forward what would be the problem?

Is this Auto or manual? How many Kms has it done. Did you buy it from a dealer or private?

Auto? Buggered trans probably, I seem to recall mention on these boards a while ago about a seal failure that dumps internal fluid pressure to a clutch pack within it on those things. You are just going to have to get it assessed first. I hope you got a decent PPI done on it before buying, they're world famous in NZ for being a lousy buy when old, and its not a twin turbo version.

Its an auto. Its done 230288kms. I got it through turners. It is twin turbo

The problem is that it is an old, high mileage Subaru that will have been thrashed by a dozen or so previous owners without servicing done on it.

i hope you have purchased one with "cga" from turners,
return it under cga "to turners" dont know what the rules are probably repair or refund in cga law

Auto as in Tiptronic? B4s are nice cars, even at high milage. But as above, it can be a money pit if not service properly.
