With other brands is there any problem. As I was looking at draining the transmission and adding a Penrite product which is about half the price of the Toyota product

Is it the correct oil and compatible with the Toyota oil ?

I know that many Volvo's (98-2005) required very specific oil or it will cause havoc. This same transmission was also used in many Toyota's so Toyota T-IV is compatible. Volvo called this trans: AW50-55SN. I suggest finding out what trans you have and doing a quick online search. The wrong oil in some cases can be fatal to your trans.
