You need to put the whole V.I.N up - with a 17 character V.I.N character 7 generally denotes the model, character 10 the year of manufacture, character 11 the location of manufacture. Cheers

Not certain, but I think an"FGY" is 2009, "FGX" is 2008 and "FGW" is 2007, but check with your Yamaha dealer. Note the the third letter is in sequential alpha order, denoting year.
