for years I've used only soap a cotton cloth and toothpaste. gently wipe in a circular motion adding water.

Where I get my car serviced recommended Jiff and a very soft cloth. Car went in for WOF early as I wanted car serviced as well before heading down the line next week. They kindly did the lights for me for a small additional charge. They did it to issue the WOF.
