Tritons don't have Dpf. Common for egr valves to fall over Have you tried pricing valve in Auckland might get a better price. They don't need initialization when replaced. Depending on code thrown they generally take active status away and check light when key is cycled. Don't block it off because you'll go from having just a check light to limp mode

Haven't tried but ecu uses map air flow sensor and accelerator position sensor to calculate how much air flow should be in intake during egr operation. Takes about a week to throw a wobbly but in mean time they dump fuel to try and fix airflow being low

full block off but I have heard of the issues that go with that and also read someone saying they put one with 4 holes and still went into limp mode, tbh not a path I want to go down.

not sure who to ask, have got a quote through dealer and that is close to $700 and repco cannot find the part also tried another parts company that a friend works at and again they cannot source it

ok so here is an update. have bought a new EGR valve from Aussie for $460 inc freight installed and took it for a drive and engine light stayed on so figgured I would just have to take it back to the dealer and get them to reset the code but the next morning when I started it, it went straight out, sweet!
So all fixed again, I must admit though I have noticed it has less power on take off now compared to when the valve was shut.

yea I was going to bring it up but I just really have not had the free time, work has been stupidly busy atm so I figured I would just take a punt and get the part shipped
