Air command vs Marquip compressor?

Hi, looking at getting a big compressor for my workshop. What one do you guys think is the best quality/ option? Marquip 53cfm is 7.5kw, the air command 50cfm and 11kw, big difference in motor size for similar airflow. Marquip has about 100L smaller air tank. The Marquip is a bit cheaper too. Will be running a bead blaster and supply blow down for a few lathes and mills.

7.5kw won't deliver 50cfm, someone's having you on. The marquis a good old thumper, keep it serviced and well ventilated and you will get a good run out of it.

Did you get a comparative quote from Precision?

Sorry they are both rated at a pump displacement of 52 and 50cfm, seems they both quote around 40cfm airflow,. See link for marquip specs http://www.tradezone.co.nz/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=9388 and link for air command specs https://www.machineryhouse.co.nz/C3134.

Yeah thats why im asking on here, seems strange it has a much smaller motor but quotes very similar airflow

for a workshop using loads of air only a screw compressor. i have one in my shop from europe they sold em for like a grand secoundhand there when i shipped my stuff over
also you want a big tank and a dryer water removal system if you run mills . most modern cnc mills need constant airflow and dry air.

Give a specialist a call. It pays to buy from someone who can service too. Screws are expensive to buy and maintain so not always the best bet. Pistons are a bit noisy but no other Real disadvantages in the sizes you are considering.

Thanks, I ended up getting one from serf407 suggestion, they were only 200m down the road from me. Similar specs and price to marquip but a lot bigger airtank
